International Villages

Our international, U.S., and Youth Encounter staff lead worship, Bible studies, ethnic meals, and activities help provide a global perspective. There is also plenty of time for campfires, swimming, canoeing, bouldering wall, ropes challenge course, field games, devotions, horseback riding, and arts & crafts.

There are two International Villages with 28 campers in each village.

International Village and Journey registration occurs on Sundays from 4:00 - 5:00 at Ox Lake, and ends with a worship service on Fridays at Noon.

JOURNEY OF THE CROSS

Campers build community on our low and high ropes challenge course, bike on the scenic Gandy Dancer Trail, rock climb at Interstate Park, canoe down the St. Croix River, and horseback ride at Ox Lake. We connect these challenges to our Faith journeys and embrace the life-long challenge to take up our cross and follow Jesus wherever he leads. Campers should bring their own bike and helmet (spares are available if needed)

JOURNEY OF THE HEART

In Minnesota alone there are more than 100,000 refugees and around the world more than 1 billion people are undernourished. Jesus doesn’t demand that we solve all the world’s problems, he just calls us to love our neighbor. These neighbors might be nearby and they may be far away, but through this week of service-learning, youth have the opportunity to live out the love of Christ. This week is a mix of the normal camp activities, high adventure experiences and service projects. A portion of the week is spent in the Twin Cities.
