Canoe Trips

Wilderness canoe trips are an incredible journey; an opportunity to learn and reflect on God’s creation, strengthen faith, build teamwork and confidence and come away with a better understanding of how precious this world is. Canoe trips are for youth who have completed 6th grade and beyond and run from June 9th - Aug 9th, 2014.

What to Pack

Both Canoe and Hybrid trips have a maximum group size of 8 including 1 adult over the age of 21. Multiple groups per congregation are welcome. There are plenty of ways to customize your canoe trip to fit your group's interests. Customizing options include: rock-climbing, fishing, leadership programming, varying length and distance of trips, as well as a hybrid work-service and canoe trip experience. Contact camp for customizing options, alternative dates, trip length and retreat season trips.

Hybrid Trips

Want to combine your canoe trip and mission trip this summer? Come to Wilderness for two days of service projects, and a three day canoe trip. Further details on service program can be found under “work-service” below. For youth who’ve completed 6th grade and beyond.

Whether you are new to the BWCAW or looking for a centering week to focus on team building and relaxation, spending a week on the islands of WCB promises to be rewarding. Experiences

Always wanted to bring your loved ones to the Boundary Waters, but daunted by the thought of planning a canoe trip yourselves? Any of our programs can be customized for an intergenerational group. From mother-daughter canoe trips, church families spending a long weekend together, or simply including youth mentors on your summer trip, we’d love to hear how we can fit the needs of your group. Retreat

We take seriously Psalm 46:10 and respond by offering a place where people can be still and know God. We would be happy to welcome your group to Wilderness during our retreat season (fall, winter and spring), and help support your program as we provide meals, lodging, meeting rooms and excursion guides (upon request).
